The minimum age for a fishing trip with Islenos Outfitters is 12 years old; two fishermen are the maxiumum group size.

Please bring sunscreen, hats, and a lunch.  We provide waters and all necessary fishing gear.

No previous experience is necessary for our trips; however, it is helpful to know of your experience and/or fishing ability so that we bring the appropriate gear to make your trip as successful as possible.

The story of Los Isleños

An Isleño (pronounced ees-LAYN-yoh) is a descendant of Canary Islanders who arrived in Louisiana during the late 1700s.  The Isleños of St. Bernard Parish are the last surviving Isleños community.  The word isleño is Spanish for ‘Islander’ as in ‘Canary Islander’.
